If these walls could talk


From the Maitland Mercury report:
These days Maitland Gaol is part museum and tourist facility but even in the daylight hours it’s one eerie place. There were 16 executions on the grounds in the mid to late 1800s but, while the sanctioned deaths may have dried up the 20th century, it still had its share of Australia’s most notorious crims.
