Dr. Dawn Casey, Director of the Powerhouse Museum announced that Cultural Ministers Council (CMC) funding provided to the Powerhouse Museum Sydney to deliver the Collections Australia Network would cease on 28 February 2011.
Despite the conclusion of the contract for CAN, Dr Casey was pleased to advise that the Powerhouse will continue to operate the website until further notice. However, as no additional funding has been provided and given contractual requirements, it will not be possible to provide the previous level of service and information.
